so many locks, not enough keys;

Okay, due to the lack of interesting posts, I shall give this another try. Haha. :) So these past couple days have been cool. I'm up at Susie's cottage for the weekend with the parents and their ten closest friends or something. I know I've never been much of a partier let alone very good, but boy do THEY know how to party like its 1975 or something. (Yes I throw in random years like that to sound cool) It's 12am in the morning and their still sitting around the campfire and in the hot tub telling stories, laughing, joking, drinking and all that rock and roll while I'm sitting here in bed. :D Talk about being a good kid. -.-

Anywho's, I love the charity stores around here. It's insane how cheap some of the stuff is. Bags for like $2, I bought a dress for $4, earrings for 50 cents, badges and shit. Like I must've bought like 8 little different knick knacks for $3.75 today. Pretty awesome. :D

Oh right, the other night I went for a little reunion with basically our extended family plus my moms cousins whole family. That was fun, of course, I was like the shortest one there, excluding my 8 year old second cousin (or something like that). But yeah, the Dutch gene's sure do make them all grow tall, except for me. And my sister looked average in height in comparison. So that makes EVERYONE (but me) almost 6 ft tall OR MORE! I realised how much I like feeling tall in Malaysia. :D Hehe.

But yeah, so far the summer has been pretty great. Uni stuff starts on Tuesday. Not looking forward to the commute as much. I kinda wish Schulich could be like the other colleges and start stuff AFTER we move in. It might just make a little more sense. But what to do? :( Shall post pictures of fbook soon though I'm still accumulating. Up to almost 800 by now. Not really THAT much considering its already two and a half weeks. But I doubt I have the patience to go through and edit that much anyways. :D

Oh right, I also got some (not so great) crazy shots of the damage that the tornado did that hit Collingwood last week. That was just shocking driving through there. Would not have wanted to be there when that happened, though no one did get hurt.

Back in Toronto. I finally finished reading The Host! Its a good read, super long though, but I suppose once you get into it its okay. I'm happily reading my Sarah Dessen book now. Whee. But its kinda damp, all my books are kinda damp and I'm not too sure how they ALL got like that? Hmm. Anyways, this isn't much of a blogpost, but I didn't wanna just leave my blog hanging like that. Its boring enough as it is. Hopefully I'll upload some pictures soon enough. Or not. We'll see. Keep in touch my peeps. ;) Lovesssss. <3

Haha, because I'm awake at the odd hours instead of when you guys are normally awake, I shall blog. :D

Yes, so yesterday was the day we headed down to Hamilton to visit the grandparents. (I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ONLY BEEN HERE TWO DAYS!) So we went over to St Elizabeth to say hi to Oma, her place is pretty nice, like a little extract from the house. Took her to lunch at the Vietnamese place on Cannon. Ohh yummers. Haven't had good pho in forever! Then we headed on over to St Peters to visit my grandpa.

I won't lie and say everything is fine with them, cause in the three years since I've been here, the change has been so great. But their happy, and the places that their at is good for them. Oh how I've missed them so so much.

While visiting grandpa, we were hanging out downstairs for a little while near where the piano was. Mom asked me to go play something. And no I've never been very good and am terrible at remembering songs. But I went to the piano anyways and looked at some of the books they had. Then this lady wheels on over and presses some keys on the piano telling me to play. There was no use fighting with her cause she was super insistent, so I sat down and started playing Fur Elise over and over cause that's all I could remember off the top of my head and the lady definitely wouldn't let me stop. It was pretty funny cause the lady was singing along telling me to play and grandpa was calling for me, saying "Nikki Nikki Nikki!" Till I got up and escaped the piano. Phew.

I love my grandparents. <3

It's six am here, and I'm wide awake. Oh no. Seeing the grandparents today, a little nervous. But I don't feel like I'm here, here, till I see them. <3

such a smile, but a sweetheart;

So yess, I've arrived in the large Canada-land. Been here exactly (almost) fifteen hours. And yess, (I deserve a pat on the back for) staying awake all day! Yay me! :D

Somehow it doesn't feel that different or weird or any of that. More like I'm just staying at a relatives place (which I am) back home. And the rest of it, just feels like I'm on a temporary holiday. Kinda.

Oh! I went to visit my University today. Quite impressed lah. The place is like hugeeeee. I only walked though three buildings and want to pengsan. But yeahh, then got a little tour by a girl who just finished her first year at Schulich so that was really cool. Made me a little less nervous about starting university. I was really really pleasantly suprised by the whole thing, place and people. :)

Drove around town a little more before heading home. :) Suprisingly of the first day here, I was the only one who managed to stay up all day. Yay me.

Okay, sorry my writing is super vague and discontinuous. :(

Oh yeah, The Time Travellers Wife is out here. TODAY. Gotta read that damn book asap. Still stuck on The Host. Oh boy how my reading has just spiraled downhill.

Anyways going for ice cream at McD's. Toodles. :)

Again & a million times over. I'm so so sorry for not blogging lately. Been spending lotsa lotsa time with the loves. Its impossible for me to believe that this time tomorrow I'll be on the plane.

I guess thats why I haven't been blogging much. Cause if I start talking about leaving, and how upset I'll be, I'll crumble. And I just can't. Not yet.

I have been getting tons of the sweetest messages and calls. Really, it feels like my birthday or something. But all of you guys (my friends la) have been the bestest of the best people for me to have been able to meet and spend time with cause NONE of it was ever a waste. Not a second.

My heart is all in jumbles and full of incomplete sentences professing my undying love & gratitude & thanks for all of you. One year, and we'll be back. All of us.

Here's to what the next few months have in store for us.

Everyone always talks about how leaving really shows you who your true friends are and aren't. I don't think that we need that much of a distance to figure it out. Who you see most during your holidays are evident enough. Who you make the effort to call, and who makes the effort to call you. Even better, though things like conflicting schedules or whatever it may be, keeps you apart. When you get back together, not a single thing has changed.

If there's one thing I've learned. There's no need to rush and cram to see everyone as my days before departure are counting down. Because I'm content. I've been seeing the people I've been wanting to see all along.

Hey guys,

Yeah, sorry for the absence. I was in Melbourne for a good ten dayss, then came back without much of a blogging mood, thus this whole MIA deal. Haha.

I know I should blog about my trip to Melbourne which was undeniably awesome. :) And I had a wonderful time with awesome people! But I think pictures do more of the talking then any string of words I can conjure up, so go on down to Facebook and check out the album la. :)

About my busy busy life now. :P I know I should be going out 24/7, seeing all those people I need to see. I know its kinda wrong timing. But I feel like I need some chilling time. And all you people I love are more than welcome to join me. But yeah, I'm going at a little slower pace these past few days. Thus the lack of things to blog about. Or maybe I just don't feel like documenting every minute of my life. Yet. Haha.

On a different note, I just checked out the itinerary for Vanier Frosh Week '09. I think it'll be fun. I hope. Entah la, excited but nervous. The usual jitters. :D
