make a little space, to make a better place;

I've been going through YouTube videos of Micheal Jackson, after watching his number one hits today with the gang. I've got a couple. :) But this has to be my ALL TIME FAVOURITE. Considering its basically the theme song of all our ballet charity concerts. Plus, this video especially got me on the verge of tears. Hormones. "I like the way you move" is definitely another fave! Oh, like I was thinking, it's funny how after watching a bunch, the lyrics seem to just roll off your tongue naturally. Proof of what everyone has been saying, MJ, the musical icon of generations. ♥

hope and a brand new day;

What you're looking for,
has been here the whole time.

would you make a difference in the world?

I still have the "snowball" from our GIN workshop at the Hear Us Out II Conference. Everyone's pledge to make a difference. I'm kinda glad that I kept that, though it just sits there in my room. It's still my daily reminder. Reminds me of Ms Christie, of Bangkok, of the people, Ryan's Well Foundation, that village we helped in Kenya, of the countless times we pledged to make a difference.

So I guess this is more like a gentle reminder. Cause I know how easily it is the get swept away in the moment and forget.

We Still Can, We Still Will.

do you believe in outerspace?

In Singapore for the day tomorrow. :)

Shoppingggg, again.

Random but I'm missing late night/morning Rock Band Sessions. Especially the sound of Pras's voices which worked its ways into Andrew's parents hearts. Haha. Most of all I enjoyed the simple thrill from randomly exploring the city. Because it didn't matter which bus we got on and where it went, cause we'd eventually end up where we planned to go. Plus I'm super pro on figuring out the train. Not that difficult to figure out in the first place, but let me feel my sense of accomplishment for that! :D

Kinda weird feeling, sitting here is "my" room in JB.

Toodles peeps.
xoxo

shove your hope where it don't shine;

This blog has gone pretty dry hasn't it?

I would apologise except that blogging which used to be something fun, something I knew I could look back on and the words would instantly send me back to that time and place. Now, it has resorted to becoming something so tedious, my mind filled with thoughts which made me conclude;
"If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."
So I didn't.

Life's been good, except for my worries that I've such limited time left, with people I won't see in a really long time, come August. And yet, I go through the motions, go out. Somehow I still end up against the wallpaper, watching people, their reactions, emotions, laughter, tears, heartbreak, happiness. And yet all I am is there, emotionless, no random, interesting,quirky thoughts passing through my mind. Just there. Blank.

Don't get me wrong, I love my family and friends to death. I just feel as if I'm not totally there. Haven't been for a while.

when we look back will our jokes still be funny?

Tomorrow is graduation.
We the class of June 2009, are graduation.
Graduation is tomorrow, for us.

No matter how many times I say it, I cannot seem to fathom that ICPU has ended. We the kids who were considered the "super seniors" of ICPU, after three semesters, are graduating. It weird, something over a year and a half can have such an impact. Then again, ten days in Outward Bound, was enough for me to get all nostalgic for a very long time. Needless to say, this is definitely has made its mark in my books.

Entering college, I was all prepared, maybe try and be someone a little different. Of course we all end up the same as we always were all along. No matter how hard you try and fool yourself. My first ICPU friend, I won't forget, Mr Yuvanes Kumar. Hehe. Who would have thought, a year down the line, we'd be this close. Then of course Niro, my funny, loud, crazy, obsessive friend who is totally and utterly in love with Mr Meyer. The girl who befriended this weird girl, sitting by herself in front of class. Maybe the identical timetables were a blessing in disguise. :) Of course Kim and Sash were one of the first friends in OS too. Then Niro and I decided to invite Aqil over to our table during our four hour long break on fateful afternoon. And from there Nabeel joined us after English everyday. Nawwar of course too, our first semester friend, oh we felt cool. Sabrina, Tiya, John too. Sean Kingston, random trips to Pyramid for lunch and countless random afternoons in the cafeteria or AC. ICPU Season 1. Haha.

Not to mention the teachers, Mrs Tan and Mr Mac. Both amazing educators. Mr Mac, was an unbelievable person. It was such an honour to have had him as a teacher, nonetheless a mentor, a friend. He was never hesitant to lend a helping hand. Introduced us to the whole ICPU style. Was never unfair or judgemental. Amazing teacher, who I would never dare to forget. Come to think of it, he had always predicted that I would go to York. If I had had the chance to let him know. We planned to go visit him, up in Bolton. No matter where we ended up. He is deeply missed.

Back to my reminiscence. Those summer holidays were really good. We did all sorts of crap. And when the new semester begun, we were nothing but enthusiastic. Starting a new semester, boy were we excited. So the gang expanded and grew. Our new friends, Dhanraj, Pras, Aryan, Daniel. We were loud and probably annoyed half the people in the cafeteria. Stressed over calculus like shit. Maybe that was just me. Movies on Friday nights. Random outings. Pool. Wanoy, Zoe, Shiori, Kamal, Tania. We all branched out. It was good. Never forgetting Mr Ari of course. LAN classes. Funny, but I'm glad I passed first time round. It was the one semester I felt like I was outside my own body, watching everything, everyone. Open houses, Eighteenth birthdays.

Christmas break. The break I needed. Nawwar, Nabeel and the bunch graduated. This time we were a little scared for another new semester. Knowing no one would ever replace these awesome friends. Nabeel left (I cried buckets). It was all weird, a little different. Very new. But we adjusted, and needless to say, it was unforgettable. We made awesome new friends. Fresh blood. Haha. :) Andrew, my kawan down the street. Aaron, technically we knew each other since Eng 4U, but only really became friends this sem. Jaskiret, and his 6 am bullshit. Yusur, our queen on gossip. :) Accounts. World Issues. Econs. One girl and eight guys Morning Mcdonalds breakfast. After school movies. Three girls and a guy lunches. Mr Saint, Ms Christie, Mr Moaz. Hear Us Out II, Student Council, Water Wednesdays, Econs Edu Fair, GIN Conference. Shit, so much, beyond so much happened this semester. Friendships formed, long table discussions, heartbreaks, fights, tears, laughter, joy. Every emotion.

Prom, oh gosh, prom. Prom was good. It was everything and more. We had fun, we laughed, we danced. Plus the food was good. Getting ready in the room was hilarious, screaming from end to end. Rushing to get everyone's hair done. Freaking over makeup. Trying to fix wardrobe malfunctions. Corsages. (Thanks Dhanraj!) It was good, and I'm glad I got to spend it with my friends. After, as we sat around on the floor in a circle. It hit me. We all had our way to go. After tomorrow, all piling out of here, one after another. But that night, it didn't matter, we laughed and talked and it was just like all those afternoons in the cafeteria. We were just us, together, in the moment. No matter what, everyone had been through, personally, or together. It really did seem like we were all happy. :) Good times. I have to say, I was a little choked up as we sat at AC the next afternoon, like we had, countless times before.

feel good;

So school's out! It's absolutely insane.

We've spent the past week prom hunting. Tons of dresses, shoes, bags and accessories. Nonetheless it was fun. I got to dress up my friends in all these outrageous dresses. :D Happy happy. Prom was the day before yesterday, though it feels like yesterday.

I'd really like to go into detail about prom and stuff, but I should save that for a proper entry, devoted entirely to it. For now, I shall just say, I'm alive! And shall return to the blogging scene, once I get my lazy ass off the couch watching Gilmore Girls. :D

Loves!
